Unintended Consequences
There is a law called “the law of unintended consequences. It basically describes the shortsightedness of our human mental capacity and covers our ignorance of the things we did not think of.
It is best seen, at my house, when I chop of the dead tree limb and it falls on top of the car. Or when I am whipping up pancake batter and raise the better out of the bowl to answer the phone. There are all kinds of things that happen in life that we would like to go back and rethink, redo, or forget about.
It is the Orval & Hardy factor, for those of you who know who they are/were. It is human slapstick where the objective of your actions turns around to bite you.
Me thinks that Kim Jong Un, the glorious leader of North Korea, is about to earn his own unintended consequences. He is, at least, taking himself way too seriously. He seems to want to play with the big boys without having looked in the mirror to see his profile. You know. You remember. The Junior High School playground. There was always that one wimpy kid who wanted to be first pick on the ball team, or who wanted to start a fight with the toughest kid in class. He always lost but never knew why.
Kim seems to think that by threatening the United States he will gain, well, I am not sure what. Is it the respect of world leaders? Is it some economic support that the nation greatly needs? Or, does he want us to also take him seriously and invite him to world summits?

PYONGYANG, North Korea — North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said Saturday the second flight test of an intercontinental ballistic missile demonstrated his country can hit the U.S. mainland, hours after the launch left analysts concluding that a wide swath of the United States, including Los Angeles and Chicago, is now in range of North Korean weapons.
The Korean Central News Agency said that Kim expressed “great satisfaction” after the Hwasong-14 missile reached a maximum height of 3,725 kilometers (2,314 miles) and traveled 998 kilometers (620 miles) before accurately landing in waters off Japan. The agency said that the test was aimed at confirming the maximum range and other technical aspects of the missile it says was capable of delivering a “large-sized, heavy nuclear warhead.”
I think what he is going to get may be an unexpected visit from Seal Team 6 or the MOAB bomb. Look up Dictator Kim. See the bird flying buy, with 6 arms and propellers on each arm. Not a bird Kimmy Boy. Drone! They come in all colors, but mostly, in your case, they are black and they do not buy your press.
What you don’t seem to realize is that China and Russia, your presumed buddies, do not take you seriously either. It is a terrible thing when you pick a fight and show your mussel and turn to find that your support buddies are not there. Not there at all.
