Norm Robins

Norm Robins           Norm received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and worked for seven years for the far eastern affiliate of the Exxon in Exxon/Mobil.  He returned to get his MBA specializing in international business and economics from the University of California (Berkeley).  He then founded his own employee benefits brokerage firm Alta Insurance Agency, Inc.  Norm started a property and casualty insurance book of business which he subsequently sold.  He also started a professional employee organization (PEO), essentially a human resources outsourcing firm, which he also subsequently sold.

He lives happily with his wife in Reno, Nevada, where he manages his employee benefits insurance agency and investment portfolio.  He writes periodically for The American Philosopher about the downright silly goings on in Washington and New York from an economics and investor’s perspective.
