 My Life Matters 2

Accepting failure, rather than being directed by it, is the ultimate end of the road to success.

Today we have large social movements blaming history, another race or the injustice of their social setting for their lack of significance, their insecurity and the fleeting rewards of success. It is in that shift of blame from one’s self to one’s context, that delivers the failure. Barriers are only road signs, directions and pointes to those who dare to go through them, move around them, or leap over them.

Everyone wrestles with the disappointments of life. Everyone struggles. No one gets a free ride. It is not fair to blame those who struggle through them to be blamed for the lack of success by those who do not keep moving.

This leads to some principles for continued success –

  • Do not let fear or difficulty stop you. It is not the barriers that stop you, it is in your giving up or blaming the circumstances or others that progress ceases.
  • Do not blame other for your state of being. To do so is to shame them for their success at your expense. Healthy people will not accept blame and will not live in shame for being who they are. Their existence is no excuse for your condition. Never!

Your life matters, but it matters more to you than to anyone else. So live your own life and do not expect that other people will create success for you. It doesn’t work that way.

“The world we have created is a product of our thinking; it cannot be changed without changing our thinking. If we want to change the world we have to change our thinking…no problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it. We must learn to see the world anew.”

Albert Einstein
